Samaris are a band from, Reykjavík that I have recently discovered. Samaris consist of three students from Reykjavík. Jófríður Ákadóttir – vocals, Þórður Kári Steinþórsson – computer programmer and clarinet player Áslaug Rún Magnúsdóttir. They describe their music as ‘some sort of downtempo electronica/triphop, sound filled with space, atmosphere and maybe even a little melancholia.’ I think its pretty damn good.
