Iceland Review has reported that largest lobster to have been caught in Icelandic waters was brought to land at Þorlákshöfn, Southwest Iceland, last Thursday.
The lobster was caught in Selvogur nearby. The crustacean’s torso measures 88 mm, 7 mm more than the previous record of 81 mm which was caught ten years ago. The lobster measures about half a meter in length and weighs 490 grams. Sounds like good eating. And reminds me of my treat this summer.
