I have just got back from a trip to the Scottish Highlands. One of the things that I dud whilst I was there, was go to see the UK’s only polar bears – Walker and Arktos. They are in captivity (of course) at the Highland Wildlife Park in Kinraig. It got me thinking about the Polar bears that occasionally float across to Iceland; whether they could be saved and placed in captivity like Walker and Arktos, whether they could be released back into the wild, or whether they should b destroyed (as is the current policy). I need to give it some thought. I’ll put my thoughts on paper, and let you know if thats ok.
