This is a really neat video of all the Airwaves venues – in 3 minutes. Its shot in brilliant sunshine, which makes Reykjavik look like the Barbados, but is somewhat unlikely in October/November. The soundtrack is FM Belfast, by the way.

Samaris have released a video for Góða tungl. I really like it. Its definitely a late night song, all trip-hop beats and gentle vocals. Its luscious. I have recently interviewed Samaris for Iceland Review, and I can’t wait to see them at Airwaves.
A polar bear has been spotted in Vatnsnes, North Iceland. Tourists apparently saw the bear swimming in the sea, and footprints have been found on a beach in the area. This is not an actual photo. The latest Sigur Rós video has landed. I have to say, I’m really enjoying this Mystery Film Experiment. This one is from arni and kinski who have had a long relationship with sigur rós, having directed the videos for viðrar vel til loftárása, gobbledigook, glósóli and hoppípolla. Anyway, I like this one too.
This shot was taken off the coast of Vestmannaeyjar. Not only does it show the superb weather (not a cloud in sight), a cheeky elephant seemed to appear too. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have some writing to do.
