A polar bear has been spotted in Vatnsnes, North Iceland. Tourists apparently saw the bear swimming in the sea, and footprints have been found on a beach in the area.

If found, the Icelandic authorities will be faced with the usual dilemma- what to do with it. The last four bears to venture on to Icelandic soil have been shot.
