Ok, ok. You might think that this is a bit tenuous. You might think that I’m just posting some of my favourite music on here. Well, you’d probably be right.

However, A Wing Victory For The Sullen do have some Icelandic links; first off Adam Wiltzie, and composer Dustin O’Halloran are joined by the talented Icelandic cellist Hildur Guðnadóttir, and share the same label as Ólafur Arnalds. See, told you so. And they sound perfect for soundtracking any Icelandic scenery too.

The band were formed by Wiltzie and O’Halloran in memory of Mark Linkous from Sparklehorse (if you never heard of them, just google vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot. No, really). I think this is really sweet.

This is just an excuse to post some of my favourite music though.
